500 Error in BlogStomp
BlogStomp is no longer our flagship blogging software, as we have replaced it with Storytailor.
We are still supporting the BlogStomp software and its users, but BlogStomp is no longer available for purchase. Learn more about Storytailor HERE.
A 500 error is a response from your server saying “Internal Server Error”. In english that means something has gone wrong but it doesn’t provide any details. Good news is that settings are made to be changed. The tricky bit is that a 500 doesn’t give any clues. What we need you to do is to contact your web host and get them to look into your log to see exactly which setting is causing it.
To help, I’ve prepared an email for you to send to your web host.

Hi There,
I’m having trouble uploading a blogpost to my blog. I use a desktop publishing tool (BlogStomp) that posts via WordPress’s XMLRPC API.
When uploading I’m getting a 500 error, can you please help me resolve this?
Can you please check the logs for the source of the 500 errors?
Thanks,

Happy Stomping!!
